Peter Sarlas

Peter Sarlas is the only solicitor in New South Wales registered to practice in both Greece and Australia. He holds a law degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Law, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Technology, Sydney.

He is a  practicing solicitor and public notary in NSW and also a practising solicitor in Greece and a member of the Athens Bar Association in Greece. 

Peter Sarlas has worked over a decade as a solicitor in Greece and after relocating to Sydney, he continued his work in the legal profession both in Australia and Greece.

Both his expertise and being a Greek speaking lawyer makes him well equipped for dealing with matters amongst the Greek-speaking community.

As Principal of Lysias Legal, Peter Sarlas has comprehensive knowledge of both Greek and Australian legal systems.

His dual qualifications in Civil Law and Common Law enable him to clearly explain the differences in legislation and civil procedures between the two countries.

Peter has prepared expert reports for cases in Greek courts that have been instrumental in court rulings. Similarly, in Australian cases requiring Greek documents, he has provided opinions and affidavits to authenticate and validate such documents, ensuring their acceptance by Australian courts.
