Insolvent Estate in Greece

A beneficiary of an estate in Greece can waive any rights they may have in an estate, in case it is insolvent. 

According to the Greek civil code, the timeframe is one year for people living overseas, starting from the time they found out they became beneficiaries. 

If that timeframe passes, you are deemed to have accepted the inheritance. 

A specific process has to be followed by submitting an application to the local court.
